The Grey House
Sometimes bad weather makes perfect skies. Here's one of our finished projects standing sturdily on such an overcast day. The form expresses a strong vertical element with punctures in regular geometries, yet in an abstract pattern, creating a play of shadows on the inner wall of the building. Due to the prominence of its form, the Building was required to make a unique and innovative Architectural statement. Consequently, the Building expresses unconventional and disruptive character externally. An accumulation of voids and windows shaped by different sizes of squares creates a unique screen image from the outside and inside point of view to achieve the described character. At night the wall as a giant screen adds to the drama created in the street with the play of squares lit-up in the facade.
